My Castle in the Sky?????

So after the honeymoon we flew back to Wisconsin and from there drove across Minnesota and the Dakotas to my new place of residence.Which just so happened to be a fifth wheel camper trailer parked outside of a friends house. At least the view was amazing!!

Honeymoonin'

So when I was busy planning the wedding my hubby-to-be was busy planning our honeymoon. So at 5 in the morning the day after the wedding we jetted off to the Carribean.

This is us stuck in Des Moine, Iowa after no sleep and not being sure if we would catch our plane.

My view the morning after our wedding, he made the small mistake of thinking I would actually go back to sleep after seeing this.

Going to the Chapel and We're Gonna Get Married...

The months following Mat's visit were crammed with decorating ideas and last minute details and then the long (well longish) awaited day came and we tied the knot. Officially guarenteeing that nothing would ever be quite plain or ordinary or boring ever again.

Mat's Big Wisconsin Visit

In October Mat came to Wisconsin to meet the family and visit me! Yes he met the family after we got engaged, but everyone loved him, Yay!! While he was there we decided to take a trip to Eau Claire Dells Park which we thoroughly enjoyed with the dog. The leaves were outstanding and the weather was perfect. Its amazing to see God's Hand at work.

The Proposal

So our adventure continued in the months following my Alaskan vacays with a visit to Montana to see my fine new man. Little did I know our camping trip by the waterfall had more in store than I knew. Once we arrived at our beautiful camping spot in the Cabinet Mountains, he surprised me with a wonderful proposal by the waterfall. Better than I could have ever imagined!

The days following our camping trip involved a hike in Glacier Park and a trip to visit Mat's dad's llama ranch. As well as the start of a long couple months of ironing out wedding details.

An Unforseen Turn of Events

Our adventure starts, well...at the begining of an adventure. I had headed up to Petersburg, Alaska to visit my best friend. Yes, Alaska... of all places this is where this journey begins. Our relationship began in a cute little cabin in the mountains by a lake. Trust me when I way this is the last thing I expected.

I returned in July to visit again, by the time I left I was hooked, literally.

I have decided to create a blog containing the adventures of our life for family and friends, near and far. Since I met my husband Mat little in life is quite normal, so to speak.
